My name is Katrina Chen.

Born and raised in California, I have a deep love for compassionate, human-centered design.

If you looked in my brain, you would see random animal facts, climbing projects, raccoon memes, and a LOT of quotes from The Office.

I’m here to help you create something amazing. Whether it’s with your brand, vision, or even just a sliver of an idea, I’m willing to put in the time and effort to build something that you’ll look at and say, “Wow. That’s exactly what I was thinking!”

How I Work

My design process, simplified into four parts.

  • What do you want to communicate? We have an in-depth conversation to fully understand what your message is and who it’s for. If you have a vision for your brand, great! I’m here to bring it to life.

  • Taking a step back, we approach your vision with an empathetic, 360º view. Your perspective, my perspective, and your target audience’s perspective are the main foci in this step of the process. I put in the work to intentionally research and make note of what connects from all angles.

  • I start sketching, as you continue your daily operations. While cooking up tangible visual assets, I’m also considering the all-encompassing identity of your brand and the story it tells.

  • We go through three rounds of revisions to refine and perfect your brand’s visual identity. This is a team effort, and the result is always a win-win-win.
